Description

Japan is home to various tuna species like bluefin, yellowfin, and dogtooth, each inhabiting different seas with varying conditions in currents, water temperature, bait availability, and sizes. Over time, these species have been growing in size, and with advancements in fishing tackle and angler capabilities, we're now witnessing catches of super large-sized (200kg class) tuna. To adapt to these ever-changing conditions and challenges, we've commenced the reconstruction of the BIG-TUNA series.

We started this reconstruction by introducing the 83 model to the series in 2020, serving as the successor to the highly popular rods of past years. Tuna rods represent the largest and most powerful series, requiring intricate carbon sheet patterns and advanced techniques to craft the blanks. We're committed to constantly evolving and enhancing our techniques to keep pace with the latest fishing styles and advancements.

We invite you to stay tuned and anticipate future developments in the BIG-TUNA series as we strive to meet the demands of evolving fishing techniques and the pursuit of these impressive and ever-growing tuna species.

This particular rod combines sharp casting capabilities with enhanced tenacity and increased lifting power. The design of the 710 model is intended for anglers who prefer to aggressively engage in the fight against the fish rather than relying on the rod to support prolonged battles.

While it's possible for anglers to high stick this rod to conserve energy, its remarkable lifting power encourages anglers to take control of the fight early on, preventing it from turning into a protracted battle. The rod's true evolutionary characteristics shine through when handled by experienced anglers who can fully leverage its capabilities and optimize their fighting strategy against the fish.
