Description
The Alijos 2-Speed Lever Drag reel is a lightweight yet robust machine designed to stop big fish. Crafted from 6061-T6 machined aluminum, it ensures exceptional strength. Featuring a one-piece frame extending to the non-handle side, the side plate integrates a precision cast control system for spool control accuracy.
Spool bearings are lubricated with TSI oil, optimizing castability and spool release. These reels showcase a longer 90mm handle arm and an oversized T-bar handle knob, providing excellent torque and comfort. The clicker mechanism is enhanced for a louder clicking sound, ideal for trolling or dead stick applications. Okuma has revamped the 2-speed shifting mechanism for optimal performance.
The DFD (Dual Force Drag) system offers immense drag pressure with drag plates 100% larger. Available in six variations and sizes: 5 narrow, 5 standard, 12 narrow high speed, 12 standard, 12 high speed, and 16 standard. High-speed models feature a 6.4:1 gear ratio, while standard models have a 4.7:1 ratio for the 12 and a 4.3:1 ratio for the 16. All Alijos reels boast 17-4 stainless steel spur-cut gears for consistently smooth operation throughout extended fishing sessions.

Okuma's Machined Rigid Frame construction incorporates a one-piece fully-machined aluminium frame. These rigid bar-stock aluminium frames are the ultimate in precision alignment and tolerances withstanding more pressure and torque than any other material used in our industry for frame materials.

Dual Force Drag System
This drag system is specifically engineered to be mounted in the right side of the spool, designed around a Pull Bar Drag System which keeps all mechanical workings in precise alignment and places no pressure on the frame.
