Description

Shinkeijime, also known as Ikejime or Ikijime, is a technique used to destroy the fish's nerve, delaying rigor mortis and keeping the fish meat fresh for longer. This method preserves the fresh "umami" flavor and is considered the most humane way to kill fish.

Originally popular among professional Japanese fishermen, Shinkei-Jime is now accessible to everyone with Lumica's Shinkei-Jime set. Even beginners can use it with ease!

Three sets are available, depending on the type of fish you are dealing with.
The Medium is ideal for Snapper and Trevally, the Long one is best for Kingfish and Super Long set has two wires for dealing with different sized gamefish such as Tuna.
