Description

A specialized squid fishing rod can significantly boost your catch rate and enhance your overall experience. Our GLADIUS squid rods are purpose-built for New Zealand and Australian conditions, designed and developed in Japan with precision and refinement. These ultra-light rods offer anglers superior control, casting distance, and sensitivity.

The light-medium and medium actions provide the perfect "whip" for casting squid jigs, ensuring longer, accurate casts. Balanced to perfection, the high-performance 40-tonne graphite blank delivers the ideal blend of sensitivity and stiffness needed for effective squid fishing.

Our GLADIUS rods are 2-piece for easy storage and feature a FUJI reel seat and ultra-light ALPS guides. They are available in two lengths: 8'3" (2.51m) for land-based fishing and 7'4" (2.24m) for boat-based squid fishing.
