Description
The all-new Fathom II Lever Drag reels elevate a class-leading reel to new heights. With new models, sizes, features, and optimized billfish models, there's a Fathom II for every application. The integrated palm side plate and frame make the reel more compact and stronger. Pull-to-Turn preset knobs allow anglers to set it and forget it. At its core, the Fathom II features a stainless steel main and pinion gear and a forged, machined aluminum spool for maximum durability. Paired with the Ocean Assassin rod that is constructed using SLS3 technology, which employs inner and outer spiral wrap layers of carbon fiber to sandwich alternating longitudinal carbon and glass layers. This design maintains a round cross-section under load, enhancing the rod's ability to handle higher stress. The middle layers of unidirectional carbon and glass provide a strong, balanced, and thin rod backbone by combining the strength of glass with the lightweight nature of carbon fiber. Premium components include Fuji K Alconite guides, Fuji DPS reel seats with a machined aluminum lock nut for improved reel security, and contoured EVA grips for extreme comfort.
